Target size (KB)
A built-in 5% safety margin is applied (e.g. a 50KB target compresses to ≈47KB), so uploads are never rejected for being just over the limit.
Quality 5–100:

Frequently asked questions
What is a HEIC file?
HEIC is the default photo format on modern iPhones. It compresses photos about twice as efficiently as JPEG, so Apple switched to it for space savings. This tool converts your HEIC/HEIF photos down to exactly 100KB while keeping the image usable for forms, ID uploads and social media.
Will Live Photos survive compression?
No. Live Photo motion and sound are stripped during compression — this tool outputs a still image only. If you need the motion clip, back up the original HEIC before uploading, or use this tool only on photos where a still is enough.
Why is my iPhone photo so large?
Modern iPhones shoot 12-48 megapixel photos, and a HEIC at full resolution easily exceeds 100KB even after HEIC's built-in compression. Your photo needs to be both downscaled and re-compressed to hit a 100KB ceiling, which is exactly what this tool does automatically.
Is 100KB enough for an ID or form photo?
Yes for most online forms. Job applications, visa pre-checks and account verification usually accept a clearly recognizable face at 100KB. If the system rejects it, try 50KB — most form limits sit between 20KB and 100KB.
Are my HEIC files uploaded to a server?
No. Everything runs locally in your browser — the HEIC decoder and the compression engine are JavaScript. Your photos never leave your device.
