HEIC to JPG Converter
Conversion Done ( photos converted)
Convert iPhone HEIC/HEIF photos to JPG free online. Windows, web forms and older software can't open HEIC — JPG works everywhere. Batch conversion and adjustable quality. 100% local, photos never leave your device.
How to Convert HEIC to JPG
Add your HEIC photos
Click the upload area or drag and drop .HEIC/.HEIF photos straight from your iPhone camera roll export. You can select many photos at once.
Choose quality (optional)
Quality defaults to 85% — a good balance for photos. Lower it to shrink the file further, raise it when you want the least compression the JPEG format allows.
Convert
Click Convert to JPG. Everything runs in your browser via the built-in decoder — nothing is uploaded.
Download
Download photos one by one, or click Download All to save every converted JPG as a ZIP archive.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is HEIC and why can't Windows open it?
HEIC/HEIF is the default photo format of iPhone (iOS 11 and later). It stores photos at half the file size of JPG, but Windows, many web forms and older software cannot decode it. Converting to JPG makes the photos work everywhere.
Will converting HEIC to JPG reduce quality?
HEIC already stores photos in a lossy format. Converting to a high-quality JPG (85-92%) keeps the visual quality virtually identical while the file stays small. Photos taken as HEIC cannot be 'uncompressed' back to a larger original.
Are my photos uploaded to a server?
No. Decoding and conversion run fully inside your browser: HEIC is decoded by a decoder bundled with the page, loaded the first time you add a HEIC file. Your photos never leave your device.
Are there limits on file size or batch count?
Each photo must be under 50MB. There is no fixed batch limit — select as many as you like; very large batches are processed one by one in your browser.
Is HEIF supported? Are my original files deleted?
Yes, both .HEIC and .HEIF files are supported. Your original photos are never modified or deleted — this tool only reads them and creates new JPG files in your browser.
How is this different from your general 'Image to JPG' tool?
This page is dedicated to HEIC/HEIF input so the steps, wording and help target the exact case of iPhone photos. If your file is PNG, WebP, AVIF, BMP, TIFF, SVG or ICO, use the multi-format Image to JPG tool instead.
