Target size (KB)

A built-in 5% safety margin is applied (e.g. a 50KB target compresses to ≈47KB), so uploads are never rejected for being just over the limit.

Quality 5–100:

Compress images to 100KB in one click

Why choose this tool

Accurate results

Binary-searches the quality level so the output lands safely under 100KB while staying as close as possible.

Private, processed locally

Files are processed only in your browser and never uploaded, so even sensitive photos stay safe.

Batch processing + ZIP

Compress many images at once and download them all as a single ZIP.

Smart format & HEIC

Transparent images stay PNG automatically, and iPhone HEIC photos work directly — no conversion needed.

Frequently asked questions

How much quality do I lose at 100KB?

For ordinary photos, very little. At 100KB a typical 12MP photo is re-encoded at roughly 70-85% quality, which is nearly indistinguishable from the original for web and form use. Screenshots and text stay crisp if you choose PNG output.

Which input formats are supported?

JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, BMP, GIF and iPhone HEIC/HEIF photos are all supported. Output can be JPG, PNG or WebP — pick based on whether you need transparency or the smallest size.

Will my photo dimensions change?

Only if needed to reach 100KB. The tool downscales first and compresses second, so it preserves as much resolution as possible. Very large originals may be reduced in pixels; smaller photos keep their full size.

Is it really true that files are not uploaded?

Yes. All compression happens locally in your browser; the script runs on the page and images never leave your device.

Can I compress images in bulk?

Yes. Drop up to 20 images at once, compress them together, and download all results as a ZIP. Perfect for preparing a batch of product photos or form submissions.
