Are images uploaded to a server?
No. All processing happens in your browser using the Canvas API locally. Images never leave your device. No data residue remains after closing the page.
How do I use the three resize modes?
Stretch: Directly scale to target dimensions, may distort (suitable for uses not requiring strict proportions).
Fit: Maintains aspect ratio, the image fits entirely within the target area, unfilled space uses background fill (ideal for avatars, uniform image galleries).
Cover: Maintains aspect ratio, fills the target area completely, overflow is auto-cropped (ideal for covers and banners).
Which image formats are supported?
Input: Supports JPG, PNG, WebP, SVG, BMP, GIF, TIFF and other browser-decodable image formats.
Output: PNG (lossless, supports transparency), JPEG (adjustable quality), WebP (adjustable quality, plus a max-quality option).
How are SVGs handled?
SVG vector icons and logos can be imported directly. The browser rasterizes them into pixel images at the specified dimensions. Unsupported elements are preserved with the best possible result without damaging the image. Perfect for quickly converting AI-exported vector logos to PNG for web or documents.
What does the WebP “max quality” option do?
It sets the encoder to quality 100 and disables the quality slider. The result keeps the alpha channel and stays smaller than PNG at a similar appearance. Browsers encode WebP through a lossy pipeline, so this is near-lossless rather than mathematically lossless — output PNG if you need a literally lossless file.
How many images can I process at once? Is batch download supported?
There is no fixed limit on the number of images. Click “Process” for each image individually, or use “Batch Process All” to run everything at once. When finished, one click downloads a ZIP with all results. Very large batches are slower because everything runs in your browser tab.
How is this different from Photoshop?
Photoshop offers comprehensive professional features (layers, selections, filters, etc.) suitable for deep design work. This tool focuses on the high-frequency need of resizing: open the page and use it immediately, no installation required, no storage consumed, and all operations have real-time previews. For everyday image dimension conversion, it's more efficient than launching Photoshop.
