Are images uploaded to a server?

No. All processing happens in your browser using the Canvas API locally. Images never leave your device. No data residue remains after closing the page.

How do I use the three resize modes?

Stretch: Directly scale to target dimensions, may distort (suitable for uses not requiring strict proportions).
Fit: Maintains aspect ratio, the image fits entirely within the target area, unfilled space uses background fill (ideal for avatars, uniform image galleries).
Cover: Maintains aspect ratio, fills the target area completely, overflow is auto-cropped (ideal for covers and banners).

Which image formats are supported?

Input: Supports JPG, PNG, WebP, SVG, BMP, GIF, TIFF and other browser-decodable image formats.
Output: PNG (lossless/supports transparency), JPEG (adjustable quality), WebP (optional lossless mode, ~26% smaller than PNG).

How are SVGs handled?

SVG vector icons and logos can be imported directly. The browser rasterizes them into pixel images at the specified dimensions. Unsupported elements are preserved with the best possible result without damaging the image. Perfect for quickly converting AI-exported vector logos to PNG for web or documents.

What is WebP lossless for?

When you check the "Lossless" box under WebP format, output quality equals PNG lossless compression, but file size is typically 26%–34% smaller than PNG, while retaining the Alpha transparency channel. Ideal for scenarios requiring high quality (e.g., archiving, print materials). Without the checkbox, you can adjust the lossy compression level using the quality slider.

How many images can I process at once? Is batch download supported?

The free version supports up to 20 images per session. You can click "Process" individually for each image, or use "Batch Process All" to process everything in one click. Once done, click ZIP to download all at once. For more than 20 images, please import in batches.

How is this different from Photoshop?

Photoshop offers comprehensive professional features (layers, selections, filters, etc.) suitable for deep design work.
